Olga Sergeyevna Yarilova, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, introduced the new CEO. “All the experience, all the knowledge that Vadim Valerievich possesses, he can carefully and carefully bring to our unique, national, main library of the country and together with you he will be able to open a new bright page in the history of the library,” Olga Sergeyevna said.

The new general director of the RSL believes that it is too early to talk about specific plans. The library has complex system problems that do not have simple solutions, and first you need to understand the hierarchy of tasks, priorities and challenges. “Leninka is, without exaggeration, a completely unique, world-wide library and library. This is the result of the work of many generations of scientists, bibliographers, people devoted to their profession, the best in their field. Without a deep immersion in history and modernity, without an understanding of the details, it is impossible to talk about any plans. A great library cannot be associated with haste and a superficial understanding of affairs, ”said Vadim Valerevich. One of the priorities of the new Director General considers meeting with employees, because the library is primarily people.

Vladimir Ivanovich remains in the library as executive director and, as the Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation emphasized, continuity remains in the RSL - and this is very important.
